Ok thanks for doing that!

Now that we have that detail out of the way I want to Welcome you to a month of Cultivating Your Creativity!  I have such a great line-up of conversations with some amazing ladies that I know will inspire you, get your creative juices flowing, and give you many tips and tricks to cultivate more creativity in your life.

Here is my Quick Welcome to you!

Welcome to the July Challenge to Cultivate Creativity into your life! from Rachel McGough on Vimeo.

I hope by now you have read through the 5 Excuses we give when we aren’t being Creative.  Have you read them on the blog and let them go??  If not find them below:

1.  Perfection – read about it HERE

2.  Comparison – check it out HERE

3.  No Ideas/ Too Many Ideas – all about it HERE

4.  No plan / No Organization – find it all out HERE

5.  NO TIME!  – go HERE

Here are some thoughts on the Excuses I shared on Facebook on the Handmade U page.  Be sure to follow us there too!

Be sure to comment on each post that speaks to you!

So now you have let go of all those excuses, and are prepared to continually let them go as they pop back up, because they will, and that is OK!  We now need a plan of how we want to Cultivate the Creativity back in, or continually into our lives.  If you haven’t already, take a few minutes on a piece of paper, in your journal, on the back of a napkin {do you ever wonder why it’s always the back of a napkin you are suppose to write on??! What’s so wrong with the front?!}, and write down a list of 3 to 5 things that you have been wanting to do creatively for awhile and just haven’t done.
The list might include baking Macaroons {I’ll be your taste tester if that is the case!!}, trying to kayak for the first time, practicing watercolors, trying a new kind of paint you haven’t tried, or continuing with a creative project that has been stalled for awhile.  Whatever makes it on the list is just a starting point, a jumping off spot to get you going.  Once the Creative Juices start flowing many other things can be tackled!  Don’t get hung up on picking the perfect projects for this list, or worrying you won’t have the time….basically don’t let those excuses pop back up so quickly!
Over the next month you will hear lots of great advice from ladies that are just like you, looking to bring Creativity into their lives, living in Joy, working to be balanced in their lives, etc.  I hope you will not only find tips you can use and be inspired into action by, but to feel comforted that you are NOT ALONE, we are all different but so many things are the same between us all.
I hope you enjoy the July Challenge and work on Cultivating Creativity (CC) in your life!  Please connect with everyone with #cultivatingcreativity on IG and FB.  We’d all love to see what you are doing to CC and know you’ll be inspiring others to do the same!
Share this post and the challenge with everyone!  We all need and crave to be creative!  We are all capable of it in our own unique way!
Hugs,
Rachel
